Pasta with Sauteed Onions & Tomatoes

Tonight for dinner I made Avalon and I whole wheat pasta with lemon olive oil sauce and sauteed onions and tomatoes for the top! It was super easy and super healthy. Heres how you make it!

You will need:
1 pkg. whole wheat spaghetti
1 onion (I used white)
4-5 cherry tomatoes
1 sliver of butter
1/2 cup olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 lemon

First, start your water for the spaghetti. While you wait for that to boil, peel and slice your onion and tomatoes. In a seperate pan put your butter and begin to cook on low heat. After the butter is melted toss in your onions and tomatoes. Continually stir until lightly brown then remove from heat. While your spaghetti is cooking you can make the sauce. In the microwave heat your olive oil, crushed garlic, and squeezed lemon for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. When your spaghetti is finished, drain and add the sauce. Mix well. Top with your onions and tomatoes and add fresh parsley for garnish! Add parmesan, salt, and pepper to taste :)
